I was sold as I walked into Rite Aide agonizing from some super dry irritated eyes. My usual choice is Clear Eyes, but the packaging for Rotho Ice was sexy! (kind of weird saying that about eye drops but it caught me off guard) Put in a few drops as soon as I got in the car like I was trying out a new toy or something and darn near collapsed from the burn. My wife was waiting and laughing because she thought I was joking but I was in real trouble for a few seconds there. I had no idea. They need to rename that thing Fire not Ice. Amazingly though, when I wimpered enough guts to open my eyes they were crystal clear. White as snow. I used them again this morning (Why!?)and when I walked into my office someone commented that my eyes were as white as Prince's on his Controversy album. (I didn't know weather to thank them or slap the hell out of them.) This stuff definatly works, but be ready to act as if you are going to take a shot of tequilla every time you put it in... As I understand it from my own doctors, the preservatives in most eyedrops will erode the cornea over time with continued use. Most preservative-free eyedrops are sold in boxes full of little single-serve droplets. They aren't bad, but they aren't convenient either. As far as I've seen, Rohto-V Ice is the only single-container preservative-free eyedrop available. It is also quite potent... immediately after use, my eyes are shut for a good 15 seconds, tears following. Any negative reviews of Rohto-V will be due to this attribute, I'm sure. But it is absolutely worth a try. As a contact / glasses wearer, they are invaluable. Other Rohto-V products (Cool & Arctic) DO CONTAIN PRESERVATIVES. Avoid them, get Ice. Should be available at any... I also began developing dark circles and puffiness. While some of this is age-related I found that the drops have made a BIG improvement. If you are over 30 and suffer from allergies, try this stuff. Your eyes will thank you but be warned the icy mintness is pretty strong but worth seeing clearer and brighter eyes. |
