5.0 out of 5 stars love these eye drops, August 10, 2011

I started using Similasan eye drops decades ago when I happened upon them in a health food store. I has given up on finding good moisturizing eye drops and figured "what the heck." What a happy accident! Similasan always made my eyes feel good and really did moisturize my eyes, even if I had used them hours ago. I started out using the drops that come in the bottle and have preservatives and they worked great. I tried these preservative-free drops when the store I bought the bottled variety ordered them by mistake. What a difference! They feel great when I initially put them in and just seem to do a much better job than the drops that come in the bottle. My eyes must be sensitive to the preservatives because these don't sting/burn at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Non sting eye drops, January 10, 2012

Even the Restais perscription stings my eyes so I cut it down to once a day. I tried these and they do not hurt, and do the job. I went to an opthamologist, and she told me many people are allergic to some degree to the perservatives in eye drops... and to only use the perservative free kind. Although they cost more, they work and do not hurt... so it is worth it. I tried the cheaper ones and they did not last as long in keeping my eyes comfortable .

There are mostly Pro's to purchasing this product and just TWO Cons

Pro's: I have tried all the brand-name drops; not just store brands but
drops recommended by my eye doctor and these are the BEST!

I like the fact they are preservative-free which might account for
how easy they instill in your eye without any burning. My eyes do
not need anymore trauma of stinging when I use the eye drops for
eye dryness and a pick-up for tired eyes, as well. These do the trick!

I have Sjogren's eye dryness, Lasik eye surgery x 2, cataract surgery,
radial keratonomy surgery, and many, many corneal ulcers/abrasions.
With all of this past history, I will now stick to these drops!!!

Con's: They ARE more expensive..guess you get what you pay for.
If a person has regular run-of-the-mill eye dryness, no, I do not
think you need to pay this price for eyedrops. If you have any prior
surgeries or... Read more
